Winter 2014
In the Fall of 2013 I had the very distinct honor of being the trombonist for the "Iceman" Mr. Jerry Butler who was inducted into the Hall Of Fame on that very night. Harold Melvin's Blue Notes were on the same show. I love playing with all of these guys. So much history.
"The Ivan Hall Group" live at "The House Of Jazz" 05/24/2012
My very first book signing for the Publication "Invitation (Love Letters 101)" on 04/30/2011 at the Harvey B. Gantt Center in Charlotte N.C.
The CD release party for "The Ivan Hall Group (Live At The Sylvia Theater)" 08/26/2011. We had a ball with Ivan Hall.
I don't know why they put a Porsche on my side of the stage.

Hittin it with my hero, Mr. Fred Wesley and my prize student, Ramone Jordan Jr.
I am Truly honored to have had the pleasure of performing side by side with Mr. Fred Wesley. He has been my mentor and my good friend as well as one of my musical hero's. You can see Uncle Ron in the background.
No one does it alone. I have been blessed to have some very special people in my camp. Mr. Willie (Dub) Walker has been a good friend over the years as well as being a band leader, producer, song writer and bass player on many of my projects. Truly an amazing talent. Mr. Clarence Leak Sr. is a great photographer and has done all of my most important photos including the images for my book. He also sang background on my first CD. Mark Peskir is responsible for the excellent work on my CD covers and directly responsible for the digital recording techniques On my CD's as well as being the owner and operator of War Pig Studios. Mark is my man! The support of these individuals has been extraordinary.

David Mann "aka" Mr. Brown and Ivan at the gig at the Arena in Charlotte N.C. He said, " you know how to play those big whistles, don't you".

Myself and Mr. Calvin McKinney Jr. on saxophone at the gig. Mac gave me my first real break in the music business. He was the one who helped me with my theory homework when I came home from school and taught me the importance of a good musical education. He became one of my most enduring friends and a true mentor. R.I.P.

The Ivan Hall Group, with Uncle Ron, Mr. Ron Nelson on percussion and Paul Krayer on guitar. These are the most talented individuals I know. They give it all they've got and more when ever we perform. I am truly blessed to work with musicians of this caliber.
The Ivan Hall Group

The Group with Kevin Williams. He is an incredible drummer and percussionist that we have the great pleasure of working with. Kevin and I have been friends since high school.
The original "Ivan Hall Group" live at the first CD release party at "Harvey's" with Mr Donald "Cannonball" McClure on Saxophone and keyboards and Mr. James Allen on percussion. Two amazing talents that are truly missed. R.I.P.

What is Uncle Ron Playing?

Paul Krayer, an awesome guitarist and my right hand man. He has been instrumental in my musical development as well as an incredible friend.
